NEW 2-AXIS DEFLECTION UNIT
Complete series of RAYLASE SUPERSCAN-III 2-axis deflection units now available for higher precision and lower drift.
Wessling, April 29th 2016 –RAYLASE AG, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-precision components and submodules for laser beam deflection, modulation and control, today announced its complete range of SUPERSCAN-III scan heads with a choice of apertures from 10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 30mm. They are designed for optimal use in high-end applications that require a high degree of precision and dynamics, such as marking, engraving, soldering, drilling and structuring of solar cells or flat panel displays.
The RAYLASE 2-axis deflection units are delivered with fully digital servo control. Equipped with digital control electronics, they provide enhanced dynamics and multiple diagnostic options, including real-time monitoring of the mirror position, mirror speed and temperature. The twin-shell design of the SUPERSCAN-III provides exceptional noise performance, short acceleration times, high precision and very low drift. The deflection units achieve long-term drift of less than 60 µrad.
The SUPERSCAN-III series of products are suited to a wide range of applications due to their LN tuning for minimal noise, RA tuning for a faster acceleration speed, and ST tuning for faster jump time. The scan heads are designed for multiple tuning options as they include all three tuning variants (ML, MR and MS). The deflection units are compatible with the XY2-100 and XY2-100 enhanced protocols and are controlled using the SP-ICE-1 PCI PRO control card. RAYLASE has added new functionality to the card, which supports weldMARK 3.3 software and leverages the advantages of the SUPERSCAN-III laser scan heads’ multiple tuning capability. Users can also modify tuning settings within an object.
The SUPERSCAN-III includes an 18-bit interface, and all apertures are available with a selection of mirror substrates and integrated mirror mounts for additional dynamic and faster performance. Along with water tempering for the electronics and galvanometer scanners with straight and 90° connectors, the larger apertures also includes an additional option of air flushing for the rear side of the deflection mirrors. This ensures consistent working conditions, especially for high-performance, kilowatt-level laser applications.
