THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS QUALITY IN LASER WELDING
Whether you’re welding bipolar patterns, a pressure-tight housing, battery contacts or something else – in many cases, the components don't correspond 100% to the CAD drawing due to upstream production steps or they may vary in their positioning due to component pick-up or feed-in. Despite this, the weld seam must always be in the correct position! The only way to avoid scrap is to weld in the precise position where the components need the laser beam to penetrate in order to create a durable welded joint.
To enable this, we’ve now seamlessly integrated the Click&Teach function into RAYGUIDE. This function, based on coaxial camera technology, has already proven its worth. You now control all steps needed for a flawless laser process from a single software interface.
With the high-resolution camera images produced, you achieve a 10-fold increase in the accuracy of geometry positioning relative to components compared with laser pointer positioning. Detailed pixel resolution values for various hardware setups are provided here.
A speedy yet sophisticated camera calibration ensures that the camera images provide a correct and to-scale reflection of reality, regardless of any variation in observation wavelengths.

Confidence is good, control is better: Once you’ve adjusted your welding geometry to the exact component position, you can control the weld seam creation process using a live-image simulation preview before the actual welding process begins.
The hardware setup
The Click&Teach function requires a suitable hardware setup with an integrated coaxial camera. You can generally use most 2-axis deflection units together with a compatible camera adapter. For prefocusing deflection units, the AS-FIBER series with additional RAYSPECTOR is the best choice.

Whether you're installing RAYGUIDE for the first time or already have it installed and want to enhance it with Click&Teach, simply start the RAYLASE PRODUCT INSTALLER and select the RAYGUIDE Click & Teach option in addition to the RAYGUIDE software. The required software components are automatically included in the installation.
Please check with your contact in the Sales department whether your RAYGUIDE license includes or has been extended to include the Click&Teach option.
